Roger Davies is a Yorkshire-based artist and musician whose creative journey began in childhood with drawing and art school, including studies in Dundee and Chicago, and later a long career in songwriting and performance. After focusing on music for over 15 years-including recording albums, touring with Fairport Convention and selling out venues-he returned to painting in 2017, combining his love of local scenes and personal experience into vibrant, idiosyncratic works that celebrate West Yorkshire landmarks and memories. His first solo art show in 2018 sold out, and his original paintings and prints are now collected widely while he continues to create full-time.
