September 2026 Newsletter
August has been another busy and positive month at Focus4Hope, with lots happening across our community.
Our Community Lunches have continued to bring people together, offering the chance to enjoy a warm meal, meet others and spend time in a friendly and welcoming environment. We’ve also enjoyed bringing the community together through our Family Fun Day and Brodstock, creating opportunities for people to connect, have fun and support the work of Focus4Hope.
Alongside this, our team has continued providing support to local individuals and families through our various services and community activities.
We’re also looking forward to the Hope Awards 2026, where Focus4Hope has been named as a finalist. The awards ceremony will be held at New Craven Hall in Leeds on 8th October, and we’re delighted to see the hard work of our team, volunteers and supporters recognised.
There’s plenty more to come over the next few weeks, with new opportunities to get involved, support Focus4Hope and connect with our community.
Thank you to everyone who continues to stand behind our work. From volunteering and donating to shopping at Replenish and joining our events, every bit of support helps us make a difference to people who need it most.
Thanks to your support, in August we were able to:

Brodstock Challenge4Hope Raises £1,067.50 for Focus4Hope
On 7th September, Old Brodleians Rugby Club hosted our Brodstock Challenge4Hope, bringing together runners, walkers, cyclists and families for a fantastic day of fundraising and community spirit.
Participants took on a range of challenges, including 20 and 40-mile runs, a 20-mile walk, a 100km cycle and a 5K family fun run. Everyone did brilliantly, with several participants achieving new personal bests along the way.
The event raised an incredible £1,067.50 for Focus4Hope, with the funds helping us continue our work supporting people in our community who are facing hardship.
We’d like to thank everyone who took part, donated and supported the challenge, as well as our brilliant volunteers who helped make the day possible.
A special thank you also goes to Lottie Shaws for kindly donating flapjacks for our checkpoint stations.
Brodstock Challenge4Hope was a brilliant celebration of determination, fundraising and community spirit, and we’re incredibly proud of everyone who took on the challenge.
A Brilliant Day of Family Fun and Community Spirit
Our Yorkshire Day Family Fun Day brought the local community together for a fantastic day of family entertainment, activities and fundraising, with more than 500 people joining us throughout the day.
The event created a wonderful atmosphere, with families enjoying the activities, children having fun and members of the community coming together to spend time with one another. Bringing people together is at the heart of Focus4Hope, and it was fantastic to see the community out enjoying the day.
Thanks to the generous support of our event sponsors, ISON Harrison, we were able to offer the event and activities completely free of charge. We’d also like to thank the many volunteers, stallholders and local businesses who helped make the day possible.
The event raised an incredible £1,840, with every penny going directly towards supporting Focus4Hope and helping us continue our work with people facing hardship in our community.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended, donated, volunteered or supported the event in any way. Your generosity and involvement helped make it a huge success.
